Teho International Inc Ltd.

We provide the following related services to complement our rigging and mooring equipment and to better serve our customers mainly in the marine, offshore O&G and construction industries:-

Testing and certification
Our tensile pull test machine is capable of providing machine pull test of up to 300 metric tons, with up to 99% accuracy in test results. Our in-house test capability complements our customer’s needs when purchasing our products. Our in-house certificate, which is issued after the test, increases our customer’s confidence in our products. In addition, our machine is specially designed to allow testing of synthetic fibre ropes, with its characteristics of high elongation as compared to metal products.

Splicing
Rope splicing is the formation of a semi-permanent or permanent joint between two ropes or two parts of the same rope by partly untwisting and then interweaving their strands, or using an hydraulic press (Talurit splicing machine) to restrain the steel wire rope with an aluminium or carbon steel sleeve. Splicing enables us to customise steel wire rope sling system to meet our customer’s needs.

Spooling
We provide spooling services for all types of ropes. Spooling refers to coiling and uncoiling of steel wire ropes. Our spooling machines are hydraulic-controlled constant back tensioning machines built specially for even coiling or uncoiling of steel wire rope. Our in-house machine is capable of handling steel wire ropes with cumulative weight of up to 20 metric tons. In 2007, to further serve our customers better, we acquired an additional portable spooling machine of 65-ton capacity so that we can respond to our customer’s request quickly by spooling at the customer’s site.

Load testing, installation and certification
We provide ancillary work as a service to our customers for steel wire ropes purchased by them, such as load testing, installation and certification of rigging equipment for further use. Load testing is to verify the rated working capacity of the rigging and mooring equipment. Lifting equipment is required to have a valid load test certificate and the general good safety practice which is widely adopted in the industry is to send their lifting equipment for testing and re-certification once a year.
